Your IP Address Information

While our proxy sourcing model relies on transparency,explicit consent and benefits to participants of our IP pool, this tool adds an extra layer of public transparency by allowing users to verify whether their IP address is part of Oxylabs residential IP network.

An IP can appear in multiple proxy networks because of:

• Several apps installed on the device, routing bandwidth to different providers

• The device is connected to a shared network environment where multiple users use the same IP.

• Third-party developers improperly aggregate bandwidth across networks, which is abuse of Oxylabs policy. If you believe this is the case, please report it to abuse@oxylabs.io.

No, even if the IP Transparency tool shows that the IP address is part of the network it does not necessarily mean that the specific device (e.g. laptop, cell phone) that the user is currently using to check the IP is enrolled into the network. If the user finds the identified application on their device, then it is likely that this specific device is part of Oxylabs network. 

On shared networks—such as public Wi-Fi, corporate networks, or mobile networks—hundreds of individual devices share one public IP address. The IP Transparency tool will tell you that at least one device on the shared network runs an active bandwidth-sharing application.  If you get a positive answer on a public Wi-Fi, you can double-check the results by connecting to a private network, for example, your home network.

The  primary opt out mechanism is provided within the identified application. When such a mechanism is not provided, the users can opt out by uninstalling the application from the device hosting the node.
